Fort Worth breaks ground on new fire station south of downtown

City officials broke ground today on a new Fire Station No. 5 at 850 Irma St.

Fire Station No. 5 houses Engine 5 and is one of the busiest stations in the city.

The public will be invited to an open house at the station once construction is complete.
