Expect construction delays Tuesday and Wednesday at 28th and Decatur

Construction at the intersection of Northeast 28th Street (State Highway 183) and Decatur Avenue will require temporary closures of Northeast 28th Street July 13-14.
A contractor will be unloading bridge arches for a bridge construction project. Trucks carrying the bridge arches will stop on 28th Street long enough for the contractor to connect the bridge arches to a crane and unload them. Traffic will be stopped for several minutes as each truck is unloaded. This will occur numerous times during these two days. Additional trucks will be staged on Decatur Avenue, but Decatur Avenue will not be shut down for any length of time.
For the past several months, Northeast 28th Street has been reduced to two lanes (one lane in each direction). When trucks are not being unloaded, these two lanes will remain open.
